West Ham United winger Robert Snodgrass may want a move to Newcastle United, but Rafael Benitez should avoid bidding.
Robert Snodgrass may favour a move to Newcastle United, according to the Daily Record, but Rafael Benitez should avoid bidding for the West Ham United man.
Snodgrass has struggled badly at West Ham since joining in January, and there has to be question marks over how he would improve Newcastle’s team.
The Magpies already have good options out wide in the form of Christian Atsu, Matt Ritchie and Jacob Murphy.

It should also not be forgotten that Rolando Aarons has previously made an impact at Premier League level, and could be an important player if he stays off the treatment table.
And with Newcastle having a limited budget they should look elsewhere, rather than towards Snodgrass.
It is understandable why Snodgrass wants a move to St. James’ Park, but there is also a reason why most interest in him has come from Championship clubs.
Snodgrass had a wonderful six months at Premier League level with Hull City last season, but he has previously had far more success in the second tier.
And, at the age of 29, Snodgrass now has little re-sale value.
Although he could be a useful squad player for Newcastle, his arrival is unlikely to be a difference maker for Benitez’s side.
And even though Snodgrass reportedly is keen on a move to Tyneside, Benitez should search around for better options.
