West Ham United are closing in on the Borussia Dortmund winger.

If Andriy Yarmolenko does arrive at West Ham United this summer, it surely spells the end for Michail Antonio at the London Stadium.

Sky Sports have claimed that West Ham want Yarmolenko, and they appear to be closing in on snapping up the Borussia Dortmund winger.

If Yarmolenko does arrive at West Ham it is sure to create great excitement around the London club, but the Ukrainian’s signing should have Antonio asking questions.

The Guardian have already suggested that Manuel Pellegrini is willing to listen to offers for Antonio this summer.

And if Yarmolenko does sign for the Hammers, the writing will be on the wall for powerful winger.

Yarmolenko would immediately move ahead of Antonio in the pecking order at West Ham, leaving the £70,000-a-week winger’s (Daily Mail) first-team chances looking limited.

Antonio struggled with injury last term, which has seemingly put his West Ham future in doubt.

And if Pellegrini’s transfer plans are anything to go by, then it seems that Antonio may be better off leaving the Hammers this summer, if he wants to play regularly next season.
