Mark Noble has told West Ham United’s official website that he thinks Javier Hernandez will be upset after his brace against Newcastle United.

Hernandez scored his first Premier League double for West Ham at the weekend since 2017, but the Mexican also was guilty of missing some opportunities.

And Noble thinks that Hernandez will be frustrated about not scoring a hat-trick, as he sets himself such high standards.

“We all know what Chicha’s about,” Noble said. “Everyone says it and it probably gets boring but if he gets a chance, he will score.

“He got two or three and he scored two and he’s probably upset he’s not got a hat-trick, knowing Chicha.”

Hernandez’s brace against Newcastle helped West Ham to a 3-0 win at St. James’ Park, as they picked up a vital three points.

Hernandez needed the goals too, as he is has endured a difficult season at the London Stadium so far.

Hernandez has failed to force his way into West Ham’s starting line-up, but Manuel Pellegrini may be more tempted to start with two up-front more often now.

West Ham’s win over Newcastle has pushed them up into 13th place in the Premier League table.
