West Ham United striker Javier Hernandez has struggled to cement his place in the starting XI since moving to the club in 2017.

Javier Hernandez has admitted that he and West Ham United have decided that it would be ‘easier’ if he were to secure a transfer away from the club this summer.
Since Hernandez moved to the London Stadium in 2017, he hasn’t really made a name for himself at the club because he has struggled for regular football and has been deployed in his typical role – coming off the bench.
The 31-year-old hasn’t been a flop-like signing, but it a move that hasn’t worked for the Mexican, who previously had a very good spell at Manchester United.
The summer transfer window is open and clubs across England are doing their business. The Hammers have already added a new player to their squad, as Hernandez, who earns £140k-a-week at the club [Spotrac], admitted that whilst the club will be happy with him to make a transfer away, he could yet still stay.
“The team is working with us. [My agent] is the one more involved,” Hernandez told Goal. “He is Spanish so has more connections here.
“He’s searching for a club if we can move. If not I will stay with West Ham easy, happy. I have one year left, but West Ham and I have decided it would just be easier to go out.”

It is highly likely that West Ham will be looking to add more firepower to their squad this summer and if they do then it does put Hernandez’s future into question.
But if he does move away from the club then he won’t be short of any suitors given his track record of putting the ball into the back of the net across Europe.
During Hernandez’s career, the Mexico international has played for Bayern Leverkusen in Germany and Real Madrid in Spain.
