West Ham United have made a handful of poor signings during the winter.

5. Abdul Razak
The midfielder arrived at West Ham in 2014 with a fairly impressive list of clubs already on his CV. However, he left just a matter of months later without making a single appearance for the club. He is now playing for Swedish side AFC United.
4. Mido
Mido
It may perhaps be a little harsh to include Mido on this list seeing as he earned just £1,000 a week for the duration of his loan spell (via London Evening Standard), but the fact remains that he did not score in any of his nine Premier League appearances for the club and missed a penalty along the way.
3. Pablo Armero
Pablo Armero
Like Mido, Armero struggled to make a positive impact during his time with the Irons, having made just five league appearances for the side. His final game saw him concede the decisive penalty in a defeat to Crystal Palace.
2. Wellington Paulista
The Brazilian striker arrived at the Boleyn Ground in January 2013, but left without ever playing a single game for West Ham.
1. Savio
Savio Nsereko
West Ham fans would certainly be forgiven for thinking that the club were confident they were landing a special player when they spent around £10 million on Savio in 2009 (via Telegraph). He would go on to make 10 league appearances for the Irons, and would fail to score a single goal, before leaving that same year. The attacking player’s record since his time in England makes it all the more perplexing as to what the West Ham board actually saw in him.
