Declan Rice is playing well for West Ham United at the moment.

Rice is a very versatile young footballer who can operate as a central defender or as a defensive midfielder.
The 20-year-old has been deployed in the defensive midfield role this season, and the youngster’s performances have been very encouraging.
Rice has revealed that he sees himself as a holding midfielder in the future, and the West Ham star has also disclosed what manager Manuel Pellegrini has been telling him all season.
BBC Sport quotes Rice as saying: “The manager has been on at me all season to protect the back four. I’ve been playing so much in midfield now that that’s where I want to see my future. I’d love to play in that holding role but there’s still much to improve on.”

Star of the future
Rice is only 20 years of age, and it is clear that the West Ham youngster has a lot to do and needs to develop his game further.
However, there is no doubt that the youngster is supremely talented and hugely gifted, and he could progress into one of the best holding midfielders in the Premier League in the coming years.
West Ham are ninth in the Premier League table at the moment with 36 points from 27 matches.
