Mount, who spent the 2018-19 campaign on loan at Derby County in the Championship, scored for Chelsea in their 1-1 draw with Leicester at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League.
The 20-year-old England Under-21 international found the net in the seventh minute for what his first senior goal for the Blues.
Rice, who can operate as a central defender or as a defensive midfielder, knows Mount from their time together at Chelsea, and the 20-year-old is please for Mount.
The England international has also predicted Mount to score more goals for Chelsea.
According to WhoScored, Mount scored nine goals and provided four assists in 38 Championship appearances for Derby during the 2018-19 campaign.
The 20-year-old midfielder took five shots of which three were on target, played one key pass, had a pass accuracy of 84.4%, won two headers, and took 63 touches, according to WhoScored.
