West Ham United’s board could be about to make an unforgivable error if they allow Declan Rice to leave for a Premier League rival.

According to the Daily Express, Rice wants to stay at West Ham, even though he knows that some elite clubs in the Premier League want him.

The youngster’s future is currently insecure, as he is an a dispute over wages with West Ham.

Rice wants £30,000-a-week to sign a new deal, but West Ham have so far refused to pay up.

But West Ham’s board would be making a huge error by letting Rice leave.

If the youngster does want to stick with the Hammers, then they should agree to his demands.

Rice is simply asking for a wage that pays him in line with his importance to West Ham’s team.

And if West Ham’s board allow such a promising player to leave, even though he wants to stay with them, it would be an unforgivable error on their behalf.
