West Ham United forward Marko Arnautovic is once again seemingly pushing for an exit from the London Stadium.

According to the Guardian, West Ham United have told Marko Arnautovic that they want him to stay, but there must be question marks over whether he is proving more hassle than he’s worth now.

Arnautovic is thought to be pushing for a move away from West Ham yet again, with interest in his services building in China.

West Ham are holding out for £40 million for the 30-year-old and could reportedly force him to remain at the London Stadium, if they don’t get their strike targets.

It is understandable why West Ham want to keep Arnautovic, as he is one of their very best players.

However, the Austrian seems to continuously be pushing for a move away and it may be that is just proving to be too much hassle.

Arnautovic is an excellent player and a major threat on his day, but he cannot hold West Ham to ransom.

At the moment he is proving to be a disruptive influence, and his form after January, when his head was last turned, simply wasn’t good enough.

Manuel Pellegrini’s side have an exciting squad building right now, and the last thing they need is negative influences affecting them before the season starts.

And it may just be that West Ham’s board need to be more open to selling Arnautovic, as keeping him around does not seem to be benefitting anybody involved.
