West Ham United are said to be considering a bid for Diego Laxalt this summer.

If West Ham United sign Diego Laxalt then Arthur Masuaku may just have reason to be concerned.
According to Tutto Mercato Web, West Ham are looking to snap up Laxalt from Genoa.
And if Laxalt did come in then it would give the £6m signing (Guardian) direct competition for his place.

Laxalt is a left midfielder, who can also operate in defence, and possesses great quality going forward.
He may lack the natural skill of Masuaku, but Laxalt has a greater work-rate and is a more solid defensive option.
The 25-year-old impressed with his performances for Uruguay at the World Cup, and would surely arrive at West Ham as first-choice, if Manuel Pellegrini did pay the reported £18 million needed to secure his services.

That could leave Masuaku with no route into West Ham’s first-team, which may come as a shock.
Aaron Cresswell is likely to start next season as West Ham’s left-back, and if Laxalt arrives, then there may be no place for him in midfield either.
