Andriy Yarmolenko has told West Ham United’s official website that he doesn’t think he’s at his best yet.

Yarmolenko has scored three goals in his last four games for West Ham, and has been a huge scoring threat for Manuel Pellegrini’s side.

The Ukrainian international has looked in excellent form since breaking back into West Ham’s team.

However, Yarmolenko doesn’t feel that he is in peak condition just yet.

“I am happy because I love this game,” Yamolenko said. “Football is really important in my life, and right now I am really enjoying my time at this club.

“I’m happiest when I’m playing my best football. Of course, it’s not my hundred per cent [right now], but I feel it’s coming.”

If Yarmolenko really does have room to improve then that should be a tantalising prospect for West Ham fans.

Andriy Yarmolenko of West Ham United looks on during the Premier League match between Aston Villa and West Ham United at Villa Park on September 16, 2019 in Birmingham, United Kingdom.

Ryan Fredericks has already admitted that the powerful forward has ‘carried’ the side at times this year through the quality of his performances in the Telegraph.

If Yarmolenko can take his game to new heights then West Ham’s forward line will rank among the most dangerous in the division.

Pellegrini’s men have looked seriously dangerous already this term, and currently sit in fifth place in the Premier League table.
