Barcelona-owned West Ham United midfielder Alex Song was not impressed with former Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo’s performance in El Clasico.

West Ham United midfielder Alex Song has told Sky Sports that he was not impressed with Cristiano Ronaldo’s performance against Barcelona on Sunday.

The Real Madrid star started El Clasico and played the entire 90 minutes at Camp Nou, but he failed lead his team to a win.

Ronaldo, who has not been at his best since January, scored against Barcelona in the Liga match, but he could not prevent the hosts from winning it 2-1.

The 30-year-old Portugal international ended the game with four shots, 87% pass accuracy, one chance created, one cross, four dribbles and a yellow card.

Barcelona-owned Song, who joined West Ham on a season-long loan deal in the summer of 2014, was not impressed with the performance of the former Manchester United star.

“Apart from the goal, for me, he didn’t do very week tonight,” the 27-year-old told Sky Sports when asked for his opinion on Ronaldo’s display on Sunday. “He was not the great Ronaldo tonight. I didn’t see something special tonight.”

Ronaldo has scored 31 goals and created 52 chances in 25 La Liga appearances for Madrid so far this season, while having a pass accuracy of 81% and a shot accuracy of 61%.

Madrid are currently second in the league table with 64 points from 28 matches, four points behind leaders Barcelona.
