West Ham United want Youssef En-Nesyri once again with the Sevilla striker still believed to be on David Moyes’ radar for January.

That’s according to the Daily Mail, who claim that West Ham want to add En-Nesyri alongside his Morocco teammate Nayef Aguerd.

The Hammers have been chasing En-Nesyri for a while now.

This rumour popped up prominently in January 2021 with West Ham offering £22.5million to sign the Sevilla hitman according to The Guardian.

Even when the goals dried up last season, The Mirror reported back in June 2022 that West Ham were back hunting En-Nesyri once again.

Well, the January window is just around the corner and West Ham are being linked with En-Nesyri yet again.

West Ham target En-Nesyri ended Cristiano Ronaldo’s World Cup dream

En-Nesyri joined Sevilla from Leganes back in 2020, and 24 goals in his first season suggested that he was on a path to stardom.

The 25-year-old struggled last season though, scoring just five times in 23 La Liga games.

The struggles have continued this term and En-Nesyri has yet to even score a goal in 10 league outings this season.

West Ham may even be able to sign En-Nesyri for cheaper than the £22.5million they offered in the first place now.

Still, En-Nesyri has at least scored one huge goal of late.

The 6ft 2in striker rose highest to power a header home for Morocco, dumping Portugal out of the World Cup in the quarter-finals.

Many saw the images of Cristiano Ronaldo crying in the tunnel after the game and whilst the whole Morocco team contributed to that, it was En-Nesyri who scored the crucial goal.

West Ham may believe that they can get En-Nesyri back to top form with a move to the Premier League and a reunion with his Morocco teammate Aguerd.

That still feels like a gamble given his recent record but with both Gianluca Scamacca and Michail Antonio suffering injury problems, West Ham may need another striker.
