West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice has been heavily linked with Manchester City in recent times.

And Rice’s comments on wanting to win the Champions League and play at the top level ‘throughout’ his career do seem to give some reason for concern.
“I want to play at the top level throughout my career,” he confirmed. “I want to win trophies, even the Champions League. You have to be ambitious. If not, what’s the point?”
If Rice does have a burning desire to win trophies like the Champions League then a move away from West Ham to Manchester City would have to appeal.
City are among the leading contenders to win European football’s top prize this season, and have turned themselves into a footballing superpower.

West Ham, of course, have just tied down Rice to a new contract – so they will be able to demand a huge fee for their prized prospect.
And although it seems highly unlikely that Rice will try and force a move away from West Ham, given his obvious loyalty to the club, his latest comments may just hint that a move to City would appeal to the youngster, if it became a possibility.
