West Ham United’s midfield options are set to be much stronger for next campaign than they were last time around.

Manuel Pellegrini is reportedly willing to offers for both the midfield duo, but getting rid of Obiang would be an error.
Obiang was a consistent performer for West Ham last term, and could play a vital role for Pellegrini’s side this campaign.

West Ham have brought in Jack Wilshere to increase their creativity, and Andriy Yarmolenko could improve their attacking options, but Obiang could still be needed.
West Ham have so many attacking options now that they will need someone to protect their defence, and Obiang looks a better fit for that role than Kouyate.

Kouyate has shown signs of weakness in recent years, when he has failed to track runners and lacked discipline with his performances.
And if Pellegrini wants to offload one of the pair, then he should be far more willing to get rid of Kouyate than Obiang.
