West Ham United are said to be interested in signing Chelsea forward Olivier Giroud.

Olivier Giroud of Chelsea looks on during the Premier League match between Chelsea and West Bromwich Albion at Stamford Bridge on February 12, 2018 in London, England.

West Ham United could be a nightmare for opposition defences, with Olivier Giroud and Marko Arnautovic lining up together.

According to the Daily Mirror, West Ham want to sign Giroud from Chelsea this summer.

And if they could land the Frenchman, then the Hammers could become a real threat in the air to opposition sides.

Giroud and Arnautovic would have the physical qualities to punish any defence in the country.

The pair are amongst the two most powerful forwards in the Premier League, and they could bully opposition defences, if they were working together.

Giroud would be able to win the bulk of the headers, which would enable Arnautovic to spin in behind, or even play in his more familiar wide role.

There still seems to be a lot of work to do before West Ham get a transfer for Giroud over the line.

But if the deal is a possibility, then Pellegrini should really push for it, because the former Arsenal man could be a brilliant addition to his side.
