West Ham United defender Declan Rice is thought to be close to penning a new deal.

If West Ham United do tie down Declan Rice to a new contract they will immediately have a multi-million talent on their books.
Rice currently has just months left on his deal at West Ham, which means that the Hammers’ bargaining position with the youngster is weakened.
If West Ham were to sell Rice now, they know they could not command a fee that would represent his true value.
But the London Evening Standard suggest that a new contract offer is set to be handed to the youngster and if West Ham do manage to get a deal over the line, it would be reason to celebrate.

Rice has so much potential, that West Ham would immediately have a player worth mega-money on their books, if he pens a long-term contract.
Rice has proven, at the age of 19, that he is more than capable of playing in the Premier League.
And with the current market as it is, West Ham can feel safe in the knowledge that Rice will cost a fortune for any team that wants to buy him, once he commits his future.
