According to the Daily Mail, West Ham United boss David Moyes watched Norwich City’s James Maddison against Chelsea on Wednesday evening.

West Ham are said to be interested in signing Maddison, and the youngster could turn into a potential superstar at the London Stadium.

Moyes actually denied going to Stamford Bridge to watch any player in particular today, but the Mail still believe that he was on a scouting trip.

And if Maddison was to arrive at the London Stadium this month, he would be an extremely exciting addition.

Maddison has been Norwich’s star this campaign, with his performance consistently catching the eye.

The 21-year-old has hit seven goals and claimed five assists in just 25 Championship matches this term, and looks ready to make the step up to the top level.

A move to West Ham could be perfect for Maddison’s development, as there is a clear route to the first-team.

Although Manuel Lanzini would remain as the Hammers’ main creator, Moyes has suggested that he would like to have more attacking options available to him.

And if West Ham are willing to meet Norwich’s £20 million asking price for the England youth international (London Evening Standard), then he could be a hugely exciting signing for the future.
