West Ham United were ‘confident’ of signing Lorient striker Terem Moffi – but he has been unconvinced by the potential move to London.
That’s according to Sky Sports, who claim that Moffi is ‘undecided’ about making a move to West Ham.
The Sun’s Alan Nixon claims that West Ham were ‘confident’ that their £25million package for Moffi would be accepted.
An offer of £20million plus £5million in add-ons was rejected so maybe West Ham altered their package to bring that confidence.
Moffi, 23, has been sensational for Lorient this season, racking up 12 goals in just 18 appearances.
West Ham seemingly wanted Moffi to come in as a potential replacement for Michail Antonio, who is wanted by the likes of Everton and Wolves.
Yet with Moffi seemingly unsure, West Ham appear to have gone elsewhere…

West Ham now appear to have moved away from Moffi and focused on Aston Villa striker Danny Ings instead.
Sky Sports report that West Ham have completed the signing of Ings in a deal worth around £15million.
David Moyes has been a fan of Ings for many years now, even going back to his time in charge of Real Sociedad.
Villa now appear to have sanctioned a move for Ings to join West Ham, having signed a new striker themselves this week in Jhon Duran.
Ings can now give West Ham a proven Premier League striker to work with Gianluca Scamacca in Moyes’ attack.
A deal for Ings would surely end West Ham’s interest in Moffi; there’s little chance of West Ham splashing £40million on two strikers having paid big money for Scamacca over the summer.
Moffi may still be on the move this month but it looks like a move to West Ham can be ruled out once and for all.
