West Ham United could have some success going after Chelsea’s David Luiz in January.

Newcastle United have shown their ambition, with Rafael Benitez preparing to make an offer to Chelsea for Luiz.
And West Ham simply cannot afford to let the opportunity to sign Luiz pass them by without putting up a fight.
Luiz could fill a void for the Hammers at centre-back or in defensive midfield, and he would be an upgrade on any option they currently have in either position.
David Moyes has already stated that he is short in central midfield, but the arrival of Luiz would add make his options look far greater.
Luiz could also bring resilience and experience to West Ham’s backline, if he was to move to the London Stadium.
Luiz is said to be on £120,000-a-week and be available for around £32 million by the Mail, and given that West Ham may just have the financial muscle to meet those demands, they would surely be in a far better position than Newcastle to land the Chelsea star.
