West Ham United forward Toni Martinez has enjoyed an impressive pre-season so far.

West Ham beat Mainz in a shoot out, with Martinez showing composure from the spot.
But Yarmolenko had dared his younger teammate to try and Panenka his shot from 12 yards.
“Yarma was joking around with me before the penalty shootout and told me to do a ‘Panenka’ when I took mine, but I just wanted to make sure I scored for the team so I didn’t do it,” Martinez said.
Martinez is playing for a spot in West Ham’s first-team squad over pre-season, after failing to break into the senior team in recent seasons.
Despite having an excellent record at development squad level, the likes of Slaven Bilic and David Moyes regular overlooked the youngster.

Martinez’s latest pre-season display will not have done his chances any harm though, as he scored a header in normal time before converting his penalty.
Martinez is in competition with the likes of Marko Arnautovic and Javier Hernandez for a place in Manuel Pellegrini’s side.
