West Ham United are said to be chasing AC Milan striker Fabio Borini.

Manuel Pellegrini reportedly wants the Italian, who he feels could enhance the quality of his squad a the London Stadium.
The transfer is an intriguing one, as it surely wouldn’t have been possible if David Moyes remain in charge at West Ham.

Moyes and Borini worked with each other at Sunderland, but their relationship was strained.
Borini complained about Moyes playing him in a number of different positions at Sunderland.
He said to the Daily Star: “I’ve been told to play on the left, the right, in the middle, behind the striker and even at left-back when it’s needed even if it’s not my preference.”

Later in the season, Borini also celebrated right in front of Moyes, after he came off the substitutes’ bench and hit an equaliser, coincidentally, against West Ham.
It would have been highly unlikely to see Borini link back up with Moyes, if the Scot had remained in charge at West Ham, but with Pellegrini in charge there is a chance he could arrive in London.
If Borini did move to West Ham, he could strengthen Pellegrini’s attacking options for next campaign.
