Snubbing West Bromwich Albion’s Grzegorz Krychowiak looks like a big error by West Ham United boss.
West Ham United co-chairman David Sullivan revealed early in September that manager Slaven Bilic turned down the chance to sign midfielder Grzegorz Krychowiak in the summer.
The Irons were linked with a move for the Paris Saint-Germain ace during the transfer window but he ultimately joined West Bromwich Albion on loan.
And his performances in the West Midlands might suggest that the West Ham chief would take back such an admission if he could – it’s the last thing that Bilic needs.
The 27-year-old has been nothing short of exceptional for West Brom since joining on a season-long loan and you wonder why the Hammers boss overlooked him.
Big, strong, defensively sound and very capable with the ball at his feet, the Poland international would’ve been a perfect figure in West Ham’s midfield.
The East Londoners spent – and wasted – most of August trying to sign William Carvalho from Sporting Lisbon in a big-money deal, but early signs indicate that they wouldn’t have gone wrong with Krychowiak.
The West Brom ace is another example of West Ham’s shoddy transfer window.
