Bristol City defender Aden Flint would be an excellent signing for West Ham United.

West Ham United should pay £10 million and take Bristol City defender Aden Flint this month.

According to a report in the printed edition of The Sun, [page 59, 28th January] Bristol City have placed a £10 million asking price on the centre-back, and that should encourage West Ham to make a move.

While Flint has no Premier League experience, he did show against Manchester City in the League Cup that he was ready to play at the top level.

And West Ham should not baulk at the £10 million asking price, as he could be just what they need.

Flint would offer West Ham power and steel in the second half of the campaign, which could make him ideal for David Moyes.

The Hammers need a new robust centre-back, as both James Collins and Jose Fonte are reaching the end of their careers.

Flint could now be their natural successor, as he has a great deal of ability.

Flint is the kind of no-nonsense defender that Moyes has always enjoyed working with, and if he is available for £10 million, then the Hammers should be working to do a deal before the end of the month.
