West Ham United do not need Danny Ings, despite links they are interested in the Liverpool man.
According to a report in The Sun, West Ham United are lining up a bid for Liverpool striker Danny Ings, but there must be questions over whether bringing the 25-year-old would be worthwhile for David Moyes’ side.
West Ham may need to sharpen up their attack, but they already have an enviable attacking line-up.
Javier Hernandez, Diafra Sakho, Andy Carroll and Andre Ayew are all proven scorers at Premier League level and Moyes should be looking to get the quartet back to their best, rather than bring in Ings.
Ings has previously proven to be a valuable option at Burnley, but his move to Liverpool has not worked out as hoped.
The energetic forward has barely featured in recent times, due to injury, and is likely to require some time before he gets back to his best.
And West Ham are better off focusing on what they already have, rather than bringing in a non-match sharp Ings, as he does not look like an upgrade on Moyes’ current options.
