West Ham United have been linked with Arsenal defender Kieran Gibbs in the summer transfer window.

According to a recent report in The Daily Star, West Ham United could make a move for Arsenal defender Kieran Gibbs in the summer transfer window.

It has been reported that Gibbs knows that his time at Arsenal is over following the signing of Sead Kolasinac this summer.

The 27-year-old left-back reportedly earns around £60,000 a week at the Gunners and wants to remain in London.

The London Evening Standard has claimed that Gibbs wants £80,000 per week as salary at his new club.

The Daily Star has reported of West Ham’s interest in Gibbs, but it is hard to see just why the Hammers would want to sign the 27-year-old England international left-back.

Aaron Cresswell is a much better left-back and is the first choice in that position when he is fit. French left-back Arthur Masuaku moved to West Ham only last summer, and it is too early for the London club to give up on the 23-year-old.

According to The Mirror, Arsenal value Gibbs at £15 million. Even though the Englishman has a lot of Premier League experience, it would make no sense whatsoever for the Hammers to splash out £15m on a player they do not need; they could use that money to sign a top-class centre-forward instead.
