West Ham United should make a move for Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Michel Vorm in the summer transfer window.

With Michel Vorm yet to sign a new contract with Tottenham Hotspur and his current deal running out at the end of the season, according to Transfermarkt.co.uk, it looks likely that the Dutch goalkeeper will leave the North London outfit on a free transfer in the summer of 2018.

West Ham United should take advantage of this situation and sign former Swansea City goalkeeper Vorm on a free transfer.

Michel Vorm of Tottenham Hotspur warms up prior to The Emirates FA Cup Quarter Final match between Swansea City and Tottenham Hotspur at Liberty Stadium on March 17, 2018 in Swansea, Wales.

Given Joe Hart’s poor performances so far this season, it would not be wise of West Ham to sign the England international goalkeeper on a permanent contract when his loan deal from Manchester City runs out in the summer of 2018.

Adrian is a better goalkeeper than Hart, but the Hammers need someone better and someone to compete with the Spaniard next season.

Vorm, who earns £40,000 per week as salary at Tottenham according to Spotrac.com, may not have played too many Premier League matches for Tottenham since his move from Swansea in the summer of 2014, but that is because of the presence of Hugo Lloris, who is one of the best goalkeepers in the world.

The 34-year-old proved himself in the Premier League when he was at Swansea, and it would be a wise decision of West Ham to sign the Netherlands international goalkeeper on a free transfer.
