The Yorkshire Evening Post suggested that Traore was a player on David Moyes’ wishlist last month, but West Ham did not push too hard to sign him.

The Hammers’ hesitance could now be costly, as Traore’s value is rising by the game.

The Middlesbrough man has been in scintillating form recently, and has been Tony Pulis’ side’s brightest attacking player by a long stretch.

Traore scored twice for Boro in their last match, as they beat Reading 2-1 at the Riverside Stadium.

And it seems that the former Barcelona man is finally starting to fulfil his potential.

Traore has always had the pace and skill to trouble defences, but his lack of end product has always been a concern previously.

However, the rapid winger now appears to be finding a final ball to add to all his trickery, and West Ham are in danger of having to pay a sizeable fee for the wide-man in the summer, if he continues to keep up his impressive form.
