West Ham United should make a move for Burnley’s Andre Gray.

With West Ham United receiving a £7 million for Ashley Fletcher, they should now re-invest that money into signing Andre Gray from Burnley.

The Sun have suggested that Middlesbrough have paid a sizeable fee to take Fletcher from the London Stadium.

And Fletcher’s departure makes room for another striker to join Slaven Bilic’s side.

West Ham were linked with Gray in the early part of the transfer window, as per the Daily Mail, and they should now re-ignite their interest.

Gray has just one year left on his contract at Turf Moor, which means that he could be available for around £10 million – according to the Daily Mirror.

And that looks like a very good price for a forward who would add depth to West Ham’s striking options.

Although Gray would have no guarantee of starting for Bilic’s side, he would be an upgrade on Fletcher and could provide a good option.

With Javier Hernandez likely to lead the line, West Ham are likely to need to give him a partner and Gray could link-up well with the Mexican.

West Ham already have Andy Carroll and Diafra Sakho in reserve, but the pair are both injury prone.

And the Hammers would be smart to bring Gray to the London Stadium, to provide competition to Hernandez over the upcoming campaign.
