By virtue of the fact that the former Manchester City attacker has failed to score in nine Premier League games, and can’t even get a regular game for the Foxes, you could argue that the Hammers’ season might have been a lot worse than they signed him instead of, say, Javier Hernandez.
The Mexican hasn’t been firing on all cylinders since his £16 million switch to East London, but he’s a much better goalscorer than the 21-year-old is proving to be and has netted four goals in 11 starts.
Iheanacho, seen as an attractive proposition by Hammers fans back in May, is young and could get a lot better, but for the moment it’s looking more and more obvious that a bullet was dodged.
