West Ham United’s Carl Jenkinson
West Ham United have publicly wished former loanee Carl Jenkinson well ahead of the new season.
The right-back began the last two season with the Hammers, after being sent out on loan by Arsenal.
His spell in the most recent campaign was cut short by injury, and he was sent back to the Gunners for treatment, while the Hammers snapped up Sam Byram from Leeds instead.
Jenkinson is now recovering and was in attendance as Arsenal began their pre-season training on Monday.
He set a message out on Twitter expressing his joy at being back in the fold, and West Ham’s official club feed sent him a reply to wish him well.
Jenkinson faces a battle to be fully fit in time for the start of the season, and just as big a challenge to get into the Arsenal first team.

Spanish international Hector Bellerin has established himself as first choice at Arsenal, and this will be very much a re-building campaign for Jenkinson at Arsenal.
Despite this, he simply appears glad to be back, and ready to resume his career, having had a disappointing campaign last season even prior to his injury.
