West Ham United target Rory Macleod is heading to London in the next 48 hours – but it’s for talks with Fulham and not the Hammers.
That’s according to the Daily Record, who claim that Dundee United have now accepted a bid from Fulham for Macleod.
It’s understood to be a six-figure free consisting of an up-front fee and ‘significant’ add-ons.
It’s worth noting here that Dundee United and Fulham have an active working partnership together, which may help secure the Macleod deal.
The report claims that Macleod will be heading for talks with Fulham and could return to Dundee United on loan for next season.
Southampton and Newcastle United are also understood to be keen on signing Macleod but West Ham may be the most annoyed side here.
The Sun reported in January that David Moyes was hoping to bring his fellow Scot to West Ham during the January transfer window.
West Ham scouts allegedly wanted to wait and see how Macleod developed before making a move, and the Hammers may now miss out.

West Ham need to move quickly if they still want Rory Macleod
Dundee United have built up a decent record of developing talent like Andrew Robertson, Stuart Armstrong and John Souttar over the years.
MacLeod is another one and become Dundee United’s youngest ever played at just 16 years and six days in February of last year.
The 17-year-old striker has made seven top-flight appearances in Scotland this season but is yet to find the net.
Now with six caps for Scotland’s Under-17’s, Macleod is expected to have a very bright future ahead of him.
Fulham have made their move and to put it quite simply, West Ham are going to miss out if they don’t move right now.
Fulham seem to be far down the line with their move for Macleod and it looks like Moyes will see him turn out for West Ham’s London rivals unless there is a late twist.
