Newcastle United and West Ham United have both brought in expensive forwards already this summer.

According to A Bola, Newcastle United and West Ham United are both interested in Moussa Marega, but the transfer looks hugely unlikely.

Marega returned to Porto training this morning, after spending the summer at the African Cup of Nations, but A Bola insists that Newcastle and West Ham both retain an interest.

It is claimed that West Ham are the most interested party, but Newcastle are also keen.

The move would be absolutely bizarre for either of the pair to make though, as West Ham and Newcastle both have already purchased new number nines already this summer.

West Ham brought in Sebastian Haller, while Newcastle snapped up Joelinton.

While Newcastle and West Ham may still be in the market for another forward, it is unlikely to be Marega that they are after.

Marega would cost a considerable amount of money, given his strong goalscoring record with Porto.

And it would make no sense if Newcastle or West Ham went and spent big enough another striker, after already buying one pricey forward this summer.
