West Ham United are in the market for a new striker and are showing an interest in AZ Alkmaar ace Vangelis Pavlidis.
AZ Alkmaar hitman Vangelis Pavlidis is being eyed up by West Ham United for the January transfer window.
That is according to 90Min, who claim that West Ham are showing an interest in landing Pavlidis.
West Ham offloaded Gianluca Scamacca over the summer but didn’t bring in a striker to replace him.
David Moyes chose to stick with Michail Antonio, Danny Ings and Divin Mubama as his strikeforce – but may now feel he needs reinforcements.
Antonio hasn’t scored for nearly two months, Ings has made little impact since joining from Aston Villa and Mubama is still only a kid.

West Ham looking at Vangelis Pavlidis
90Min now suggest that West Ham scouted Vangelis Pavlidis as he smashed a hat-trick for AZ Alkmaar over the weekend.
Pavlidis was on fire as AZ beat Heerenveen, taking his tally for the season to 13 goals in just nine Eredivisie games.
The 24-year-old scored 22 goals last season and is well on his way to reaching that tally again this term.
West Ham and Brentford are now showing an interest in Pavlidis ahead of the January transfer window.
Pavlidis is being praised as ‘phenomenal’ in the Netherlands and a move is expected in 2024.
West Ham could be his destination as Moyes looks to find an heir to Antonio.

Pavlidis could join forces with Konstantinos Mavropanos
The Hammer signed a Greek international over the summer by landing Konstantinos Mavropanos in a £21million deal, with Pavlidis potentially joining him.
Mavropanos is yet to make an impact for West Ham but his time may come later this season.
The defender has played 19 times for Greece alongside Pavlidis, losing only five times.
Mavropanos and Pavlidis could have reunited in 2022 as Stuttgart wanted to sign the Greek striker.
That didn’t happen but West Ham could now pounce, potentially giving Moyes a Greek duo in East London.
