West Ham United are said to be interested in West Bromwich Albion’s Salomon Rondon.

West Ham United now need to sign Salomon Rondon more than ever.
West Ham’s striking options look very thin on the ground at the moment, with Javier Hernandez and Jordan Hugill the only recognised senior strikers at the club.
It means that Manuel Pellegrini’s next priority will surely be to sign a new striker and West Bromwich Albion’s Rondon looks like a great option.
With West Ham failing to get a deal done for Maxi Gomez, as reported by the London Evening Standard, they are having to look at alternative options.
Rondon has been on West Ham’s shortlist for much of the summer, as reported by Football London.
And West Ham should push to sign the Venezuelan, who is available for £16.5 million (Football London), now.
Rondon is proven at Premier League level, and won Newcastle United’s Player of the Season award last term.
With West Ham possessing some great creative options in the shape of Pablo Fornals, Felipe Anderson and Manuel Lanzini, Rondon could be the perfect option for the Hammers.

The powerful forward is excellent at holding the ball up, but he also knows where the net is, and made it into double figures last term in a Newcastle side which was fairly defensively-minded.
West Ham desperately need a striker who can serve as a focal point next term.
And with Gomez now seemingly out of the question, Rondon looks like the ideal choice to arrive at the London Stadium.
