West Ham United are short on creative options, while Everton have a wealth of them.

West Ham United must regret missing out on Bernard to Everton now.

The Guardian reported how West Ham wanted Bernard in the summer, but were unable to get a deal over the line.

The Brazilian’s initial wage demands were too much for West Ham, which allowed Everton to swoop in and steal him.

Bernard has since gone on to prove his worth at Everton, with the diminutive play maker impressing in his first few appearances.

Bernard has forced his way into Marco Silva’s side’s starting line-up, and there is no doubting he would’ve improved West Ham’s side if he signed.

West Ham have been dealt the cruel blow of having Andriy Yarmolenko ruled out for the long-term with injury.

And fellow summer signing Felipe Anderson is showing signs that he still needs to adapt to English football.

Bernard has made the transition far more swiftly at Everton, though.

And West Ham may well regret not pushing harder to sign Bernard while they had the chance.
