West Ham United were beaten 2-1 at Manchester City on Sunday – and David Moyes was far from impressed with Lukasz Fabianski.

The Hammers fell behind in the first half as Ilkay Gundogan scored from close range.

Fernandinho added a second before Manuel Lanzini’s screamer bagged a consolation for West Ham.

City could have had more on another day, and one goal was ruled out in the first half.

Riyad Mahrez went through on goal and found the net but saw the offside flag go up.

Lukasz Fabiański’s poor distribution in the snow resulted in a lucky bounce for City and Mahrez took advantage, only for the goal to be disallowed.

Pundit Stephen Warnock covered the game for BBC Radio Five Live, and he noticed David Moyes’ anger.

Fabianski had a couple of shaky moments with the ball at his feet early on.

One heavy touch almost allowed Bernardo Silva a chance at goal, whilst his passing was wayward on a number of occasions.

Warnock admitted that he had seen an ‘absolutely furious’ Moyes screaming at Fabianski for his distribution.

It happened just too many times in the first half, and whilst the conditions were of course a huge factor, Fabianski can’t afford these moments with Alphonse Areola breathing down his neck.

“David Moyes was out of his technical area and he was absolutely furious at Lukasz Fabianski, because that’s another kick that he doesn’t get contact on, it ricocheted into the path of Riyad Mahrez and it was a clinical finish. West Ham are lucky,” said Warnock.
