Mark Noble has been spotted watching Monaco against Paris Saint-Germain as he helps form West Ham United’s summer transfer plans.

That’s according to Get French Football News, who claim that Noble was in attendance for Monaco’s impressive 3-1 win at the Stade Louis II.

Aleksandr Golovin and Wissam Ben Yedder had Monaco 2-0 up before wonderkid Warren Zaire-Emery pulled one back for PSG.

Ben Yedder restored the two-goal lead before half-time though and Monaco were able to see out the game with a 3-1 victory.

That result leaves Monaco third in Ligue 1, seven points behind leaders PSG and threatening to spark a real title race.

Noble was an interested spectator and West Ham fans will now be wondering just why he was there…

Who could Mark Noble have been watching for West Ham United?

Some may not realise it but Noble became West Ham’s sporting director in January, returning to the club having retired as a player at the end of last season.

The 35-year-old absolutely bleeds West Ham and he will now have a major input in transfers moving forward.

Noble was surely watching somebody at the Monaco v PSG game and a good guess would be Axel Disasi.

The Daily Mail reported in January that West Ham were showing a real interest in luring Disasi away from Monaco.

Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur were also thought to be interested in Disasi, an impressive centre back who also played at right back for France at the World Cup.

Goalscorer Golovin could be on the radar too if West Ham want some more creativity whilst the blistering pace of Krepin Diatta may suit the Hammers.

Then there is the small matter of potentially signing a new midfielder to replace Declan Rice this summer with both Mohamed Camara and Youssouf Fofana impressive in the Monaco engine room.

Signing PSG starters won’t be easy for West Ham and we would guess that Disasi is the most likely target for Noble and West Ham after Saturday’s scouting mission.
