West Ham United are said to be keen to bring in Chuba Akpom from PAOK Salonika.

Chuba Akpom may well be excited to link back up with Jack WIlshere, if he is given the chance to move to West Ham United.

The Daily Mail claim that West Ham are now considering a move for Akpom, as they look to improve their forward line.

Akpom has teamed up with Wilshere before at Arsenal and during his time there he made a highly controversial claim about the midfielder.

“For me, Jack Wilshere is the best English footballer of all time,” he said to the Standard in 2018.

“From Arsenal’s academy, he made it to the Premier League, and he became my idol. Jack is a natural talent, with an elegant control of the ball.”

Wilshere is yet to show anywhere near that sort of quality at West Ham, as injury has curtailed his progress.

Wilshere was unable to play regularly for the Hammers during his first season at the London Stadium, but he looks fighting fit again now.

The England international has enjoyed a productive pre-season, and there are high hopes that he could make a big impact over the coming campaign.

If Akpom does arrive at West Ham he is likely to be signed up in a back-up role.

The forward would come in as a covering option for Sebastian Haller, who has already been signed to be the main man at West Ham.
