West Ham United picked up a win over rivals Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday afternoon, with Kurt Zouma backing up his words about Harry Kane.

The Hammers only needed one goal to claim the victory, with Michail Antonio beating Kane to Aaron Cresswell’s cross to score from close range.

That’s a second home win over Tottenham in 2021 for West Ham, who again claim bragging rights.

Defender Zouma can even claim some bragging rights himself having talked a big game ahead of the fixture.

Zouma told the London Evening Standard that he wasn’t scared of facing Tottenham star Kane.

That’s because he goes up against Michail Antonio in training, so why would he be scared of Kane?

West Ham fans rave about Zouma

Zouma backed up his talk with a superb performance, completely shackling Kane whilst keeping a clean sheet.

A £29million signing from Chelsea in August, Zouma has made a strong start to life with the Hammers.

West Ham fans have been taking to Twitter to praise Zouma’s performance, particularly against Kane.

Some suggested that Kane needed help getting out of Zouma’s pocket and nobody will be laughing at Zouma’s comments now he has proven himself right.

Others suggested that Zouma was an ‘absolute monster’ against Tottenham and is proving to be an underrated signing by David Moyes.
