West Ham United are very settled with David Moyes as their manager but Jack Collison would seemingly love to be in the Hammers dugout.
Few could have predicted that West Ham would make this much progress under Moyes, becoming top four and Europa League contenders.
The move to bring Moyes back in as Manuel Pellegrini’s replacement has worked perfectly and long may that continue.
Moyes won’t be West Ham manager forever though, and one man appears to fancy the Hammers job down the line.
Former West Ham midfielder Jack Collison is making progress in his coaching career having been forced to retire early.
Looking like a real talent with West Ham, Collison managed 121 appearances for the Hammers but injuries ravaged his career.
In 2016, aged just 27, Collison decided to hang up his boots and retire, bringing an end to a frustrating career.
After spending time coaching at Peterborough United – Collison’s last club in his playing career – the former midfielder returned to West Ham in 2017.
Taking charge of West Ham’s Under-16’s, Collison spent two years with the Hammers before jetting off to America with Atlanta United’s Under-17’s.

Now in charge of Atlanta United 2, Collison seems to be taking big steps in his coaching career at the age of just 33.
Collison has now told The Sun that he wants to become a top coach one day – and specifically with West Ham.
Collison feels he has ‘unfinished business’ at West Ham and becoming their first-team coach would be a ‘real fairytale’ for him, outlining his dreams of a return to East London.
“I’m competitive and I want to be the best coach I can be and that’s coaching at the highest level possible. I certainly feel like there’s unfinished business back at West Ham,” said Collison. “It would be an attractive proposition because of the history I have with the club.”
“Being a young player out of the academy to making the first team…I think those fans love nothing more than seeing one of their own making the breakthrough and doing well on the pitch.”
“I came back as an academy coach so the next step is to go back and be around it as a first-team coach. It’s such a wonderful club. Longer term, it would be a real fairytale story to get the opportunity to go back there and coach one day,” he added.
