West Ham want to sign Ismaila Sarr and Watford are allegedly open to offers worth around £25million this summer.

The Hammers missed out on the top six and came up short in the Europa League semi-finals, meaning David Moyes will want new signings.

There have been rumours linking Said Benrahma with a departure whilst Andriy Yarmolenko will be on the move this summer.

That means West Ham may be in the hunt for another winger this summer and Sarr seems to be on the radar.

West Ham want to sign Ismaila Sarr

The Sunday Mirror (12/06, p72) report that West Ham are lining up a move to sign Watford wide man Sarr this summer.

It’s claimed that Watford are willing to sell for around £25million following their relegation from the Premier League.

West Ham have allegedly shown an interest in signing Sarr in windows gone by and are now willing to make their move.

Sky Sports reported just last week that Watford were willing to sell the winger if serious offers were made.

The problem for West Ham may be that they face a real battle for the winger this summer.

That Sky report noted that Newcastle United are keen to sign Sarr this summer as they chase a right-sided winger.

Newcastle have spending power thanks to PIF and West Ham may find that somewhat daunting to compete against this summer.

Sarr, 24, has bags of pace and has been hailed as ‘frightening’ by former Watford teammate Ben Foster.

The Senegal international recorded five goals and two assists in 22 Premier League games last season but couldn’t stop Watford from suffering relegation.

Deploying Sarr and Jarrod Bowen on the flanks could be very appealing to West Ham and that £25million asking price should prompt bids very soon – possibly from Newcastle too.
