West Ham United are interested in signing Rashid Alhassan from Aduana Stars, the defender’s agent has told GHANAsoccernet.com.

Samuel Akoto Asante has revealed that Premier League club West Ham, American side Chicago Fire and German outfit Hannover are interested in Alhassan.

“There are several interest at the moment,” Asante told GHANAsoccernet.com. “But I can speak of the ones from West Ham and Chicago Fire from the US.

“Hannover are also interested in his services. We’ll look at the best option before deciding on his future.

“He is currently with Ghana’s U17 squad for the World Cup in India and so the situation will be clearer after the tournament.”

Who is Rashid Alhassan?

Alhassan is 17 years of age and operates as a defender. The talented and promising teenager plays as a left-back and is highly rated.

The 17-year-old is part of the Ghana Under-17 squad at the moment, and he could develop into a superb footballer in the coming years.

The teenager is expected to be a big player at the FIFA U17 World Cup in India, having starred for Ghana at the 2017 Africa Under-17 Championship in Gabon.

West Ham a good option?

West Ham are a massive club in London and in the Premier League, and it would be a good move for Alhassan to join the Hammers.

Although the youngster would not be able to feature in the first team rightaway, the left-back would get valuable experience playing for the youth sides.
