West Ham United youngster Declan Rice’s future at the London Stadium has been brought into question in recent weeks.

Rice and West Ham have been trying to agree terms over a new deal for weeks, but have failed to do so.
West Ham initially appeared loathed to pay Rice’s wage demands, which seemed entirely reasonable.
Rice plays an important role for Manuel Pellegrini’s side, and he wanted a wage which reflected his value to the side.

West Ham’s board were initially criticised for not paying up, but if Rice doesn’t sign a new deal now, then it will be the player who receives the brunt of the backlash.
Rice is now being offered a very healthy pay packet for a 19-year-old, who is still learning his trade.
And if Rice does pen the contract, as expected, then it will finally end the speculation over his future – which will be a bonus for everyone at West Ham.
