West Ham United lost to Arsenal in the Premier League on Saturday.

West Ham United headed into the match against Arsenal on the back of defeats to Liverpool and Bournemouth and were under pressure to win.

Manuel Pellegrini’s side had lost their opening game of the Premier League season 4-0 to Liverpool away from home at Anfield and then went down 2-1 to Bournemouth at the London Stadium.

The Hammers were looking for a positive result in the London derby against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

However, it was Unai Emery’s side who picked up all three points from the Premier League game, winning 3-1.

Ahead of the match, West Ham goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski posted a rather confident message on social networking site Twitter.

The 33-year-old – who moved to the Hammers from Swansea City in the summer transfer window for a fee reported by The London Evening Standard to be worth £7 million – seemed quite confident of winning against his former club Arsenal.

However, that tweet seems to have backfired now, as West Ham lost to the Gunners and have yet to pick up a point in the Premier League so far this season.
