West Ham United stopper Lukasz Fabianski has admitted to the club’s official website that he is in pain after Manuel Pellegrini’s side’s match against Wolverhampton Wanderers last night.

Fabianski hurt his arm in the second half, as West Ham fell to a 3-0 defeat, but decided to play on.

The Polish stopper managed to make it through the 90 minutes, but admits that he is now struggling with the knock.

“At the moment, I’m struggling with my arm in all honesty,” he said. “It feels very sore and I can’t really straighten it. It will probably take a couple of days to settle. Hopefully I will be fine.

“From what I’ve seen, there was a third sub already prepared. I had to really continue. There was no other way. Those things happen during the game and you just have to focus on the last minutes, do your best, and forget about the pain.”

West Ham will hope that Fabianski’s injury is not serious, as he was one of the few players to come out of last night’s game at Molineux with any credit.

The Hammers were thoroughly outplayed by Wolves, but Fabianski made some excellent stops during the contest.

If Fabianski was ruled out of West Ham’s next match, it seems likely that Adrian would come in to replace him.

Pellegrini’s side are next in action again on Monday evening, when they take on Liverpool.
