West Ham United won’t be signing Filip Kostic with the Eintracht Frankfurt star on the verge of securing a big move to Juventus.

The Hammers have been suffering real transfer frustration of late with a number of targets slipping away.

Jesse Lingard picked Nottingham Forest, Amadou Onana has chosen Everton and a move for Napoli’s Piotr Zielinski has hit the buffers.

David Moyes wants new signings both another name can be crossed off the West Ham list in Kostic.

West Ham United won’t be signing Filip Kostic

West Ham made a real push to try and sign Frankfurt star Kostic this summer.

The Hammers launched a £12.5million bid in July, which Frankfurt rejected despite Kostic being inside the final year of his contract.

Moyes continued to push but it became clear that Kostic maybe wasn’t all that sold on a move to the London Stadium.

The signing of Maxwel Cornet last week pretty much signposted that West Ham were no longer involved in the Kostic battle.

Moyes seemingly wanted a left-sided player who could play at wing back or as a winger, with Cornet ticking similar boxes to Kostic.

Well, if there was any doubt over West Ham and Kostic, it can now be effectively ended.

Fabrizio Romano reports that any deal with West Ham is now off with Kostic set to move on to Italy instead.

It’s claimed that Juventus are now sorting out the final details for Kostic to join them, with the Turin giants ready to complete a deal.

Add-ons are the hold-up at the moment but Juventus are expected to reach a breakthrough and bring the Serbian to Serie A.

That’s a great move for Kostic, who will now have the chance to test himself with a top European club having excelled for Frankfurt.

This was an ambitious target for West Ham and credit to them for trying, but they will now be looking for Cornet to kick on and make a huge impact moving forward.
