West Ham United host the 2016 Premier League champions on Friday night.
David Moyes failed to ensure a winning start as West Ham United boss on Sunday after the 2-0 defeat at Watford but Friday’s visit of Leicester City offers the Scot a chance to put things right.
By all accounts it was a terrible first performance under Moyes from the Irons, whose big players simply failed to turn up at Vicarage Road at the weekend, and fans will be demanding more this week.
Positives were few and far between but Arthur Masuaku’s 15-minute cameo offered further evidence that the £6.2 million signing in 2016 deserves more chances to impress.
Under Slaven Bilic, the 24-year-old was given very few opportunities, despite impressing in cameo roles off the bench, and his contribution against the Hornets, coupled with Aaron Cresswell’s struggles, has prompted fans to once again call for his inclusion from the start against Leicester.
Masuaku, in truth, does deserve chances, whether it’s at left-back or on the left-hand side of attack.
He has the pace, guile and final ball in the final third to cause real problems for the opposition. Will Moyes utilise those talents this week? Time will tell.
