West Ham United fans urge club to sell Andy Carroll when the January transfer window opens.

It’s probably safe to say that Andy Carroll isn’t the most popular man among West Ham United fans at the moment.
The big striker criticised West Ham supporters for leaving early during the defeat by Liverpool earlier this month, but a good performance against Watford after the international break might have served as an adequate peace offering from the former England international.
But Carroll, in David Moyes’s first game in charge, posted a horrendous performance in last week’s 2-0 defeat by the Hornets, and could’ve been sent off within 28 seconds of kickoff for a wild elbow on his marker.

The 28-year-old is yet to score from any of his seven Premier League appearances this season and Hammers fans, responding to a tweet which claimed the club’s hierarcy would listen to offers for him in January, made their feelings perfectly clear on the matter.

It seems unlikely that Carroll can wrestle back the support of the fans after all that has happened, but if he wants to then his attitude simply needs to change.
Moyes’s side host Leicester City on Friday night and although the Scot has praised Carroll for his form in training, he would be a brave man to start him again tomorrow.
