Pablo Zabaleta is being urged to stay on for playing for another season by West Ham United fans, after rumours of his retirement emerged in Sport.

The Spanish paper claim that the West Ham right-back is considering hanging up his boots at the end of the season.

But West Ham supporters are desperate for Zabaleta to stick with them for at least another season.

Zabaleta has been a key player at West Ham so far this term, and is Manuel Pellegrini’s first choice at right-back.

Ryan Fredericks was brought in by West Ham over the summer, but he has struggled to make an impact at the London Stadium.

Zabaleta has been secure at the back for West Ham, and his whole-hearted performances have earned him plenty of praise.

If the Argentine was to retire then Pellegrini would almost certainly have adjust his transfer plans, as he would have to sign a new right-back for next season.
